The essay takes the reader on a journey through the vast prairies of America and Canada, focusing on rural silos as pivotal elements that have shaped these landscapes. They are the sentinels of the prairies, an eloquent example of integration between form and function. Thanks to this distinctive characteristic, North American prairie silos have become paradigmatic architectural models within the context of the modern movement, exemplifying careful and sensitive design to environmental and cultural needs. This essay encourages readers to delve beyond surface appearances, uncovering the profound signi?cance of these North American rural architecture icons.
